EHU Welcomes Delegation from European University, Georgia, under Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme

European Humanities University (EHU) recently welcomed representatives from European University (Georgia) as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme. The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange experiences, strengthen professional ties, and explore new avenues for collaboration in higher education.

The delegation included Dr. Nikoloz Parjanadze, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and Mr. Revaz Begiashvili, Vice Rector for Procurement and Material Resources Development.

Exchange of Internationalisation and Student Support Practices

The visit began with a meeting hosted by EHU’s Student Service and International Mobility Unit. Mrs. Natallia Leanovich, International Mobility and Alumni Manager, together with Evelina Grochovska, Erasmus+ Coordinator, introduced the guests to EHU’s mission, academic profile, internationalisation strategy, and student support services.

During the discussions, participants shared experiences related to internationalisation, student mobility, and support services. The meeting offered an opportunity to compare institutional approaches to student engagement and discuss the contribution of mobility programmes to the development of more connected academic communities.

Academic Development and Institutional Cooperation

The delegation subsequently met with Dr. Lina Novickytė, Head of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Olga Rancova, Senior Manager for Research and Art Activities.

The discussions focused on academic processes, study management, research activities, and potential areas of cooperation. Representatives of European University presented their institution’s development strategy and international ambitions, while both universities exchanged perspectives on academic innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Particular attention was given to research initiatives, social inclusion projects, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, and research.

Strengthening Future Partnerships

Throughout the visit, participants explored opportunities for future collaboration and discussed potential joint academic and international initiatives.

Representatives from European University emphasised the importance of building sustainable partnerships based on shared academic interests, institutional compatibility, and long-term objectives. They noted that their institution is currently focused on developing high-quality collaborations and follows a careful selection process when establishing new international partnerships.

The exchanges reflected a common commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and meaningful cooperation between higher education institutions.

The visit strengthened professional ties between EHU and European University and laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives and academic collaboration.

The visit was made possible through the Erasmus+ programme, which supports international staff mobility, knowledge sharing, and the development of long-term partnerships between EHU and universities across Europe and beyond.
